Shared Dream, by Don't build lies on ice cubes.
|
Laying in a darkened room
Close my eyes and dream of you
A fading outline yet sharpened eyes
Looking at me in a light thats new
The lines that form your mouth turn north
I feel more than these eyes can see
Your soul is laughing at iself
As it is mirrored within me
Opened eyes look to the dark
The sparkle's fading fast
My heart hammers against my breast
Adrenaline flowing from what has passed
Within my mind I send a mental note
Urging your heart to replay the dream
Eyes do shut and lose yourself
Beneath the lids I know they gleam
You awaken hot in bitter suprise~
For never before did you know
The feelings you repressed in time gone by
Overcame you with force and did grow
Now a tear rocks down your cheek
Has their only chance been and gone
Or is true love able to fight again
Rewarded for waiting silently so long
Or shall it punish for the foolery
All the moments that they did waste
Will they ever know their lover's touch
Their kiss, their sighs, and their taste |
