The mistakes I have made
The pain I have felt
The groundwork I have laid
The cards I have dealt
The torture you’ve been through
The suffering you’ve endured
The love served up by you
A love I hope to secure
The past I can not change
Only the future will count
This may sound a little strange
But only you I think about
I realize I am a screw up
I am here to ask forgiveness
To the one I lift my heart up
To forever be sinless
An apology means forgive me
This I believe to be true
That for future years I see
You love me and I love you
