Pretend to love, by WittrR
|
Soul Dark as sin
Trying with all ones might
Playing a game I wish to win
Discovering my love’s insights
I just need a window
Anything to look inside
Sitting here just to dwindle
Not wanting to run and hide
Staying to wait and see
What life is all about
Deciding what will come to be
If this life is without a doubt
Will this life ever matter
If I wasn’t around
Serve my love up on a platter
Leaving my love without a sound
Death is nothing but sorrow
You are killing me right here
Maybe sometime in the near tomorrow
You can let your heart draw near
Until that day will come
Until that day draws near
May you pretend to love me some
In the past, future, and right here
