I Watch

I sit and watch the time pass me by, I sit and think, wondering why. I can't find my dreams, that once were so true. Nothing is the same anymore, my destiny is left to you. My life unfolds, like a rose in the spring, I want you to hold me, and show me the love that you bring. I see myself as a young woman, no longer a child, the chastising face that once was so wild. Where did my freedom go? Away with the wind, with all that I bestow. I'm lost in this dance, forgetting the steps. I once took caution, I have to be the best. I sit and watch my life getting worse, take me away, put my life in reverse.
