I Wish I Were a Flower, by Completely Lost
|
I wish i were a flower
Just sitting in the dirt
One that needed pruning and fixing; trimming and grooming
I could just sit there in the dirt and you could mold me
Just like you wish you could do now
Then i would be beautiful
I wish i were the tree you planted
I would start out small and grow each day!
Sort of like i did as a child
Except, if i were the tree you planted, maybe you would
notice
You would exclaim each day how much taller i am
You would notice every change of color
Instead i am you daughter
Just a plain old daughter
I mean what's a daughter compared to a flower or a tree?
I wish i were a flower
Just sitting there in dirt
Maybe you would notice me then |

Excellent! I love the words and the description of it all. Oh and just so you know, a daughter is MUCH more important than a flower or tree. Although, at times, it may not seem like it. |

I LOVE THE SYMBOLISM....I HAVE A DAUGHTER AND I AGREE THAT A DAUGHTER IS WAY MORE IMPORTANT THAN A FLOWER OR A TREE |
