Simple Goal, by PenToPaper
|
I lived my life
With one simple goal.
To love from a distance,
And never get too close.
Break up after break up,
I was never effected.
I was cheat on and used,
And it still didn't hurt.
I'm not one for lovey dovey
Or believing in such terrors.
Love isn't real;
It's all a fantasy.
But you've been here
Since day one.
Always there through all the troubles
And loving me from a far.
I could of said yes,
And been happy forever.
Laying in your arms,
And trying to believe.
But I was blinded by another,
And I lost my chance.
Now all I'm begging for
Is to feel that way again.
