Lover's Eyes, by Jonathan Corr
|
No one loves the other more
But yet they're faced with a challenge,
Who can walk and not look back?
Both glance but neither face meets.
A relationship to last,
Their path well chosen.
To my surprise he was the first.
His eyes fixed, his face like steel.
Reduced to a boy in seconds,
He gazed upon her luscious hair.
Then it was her turn,
Curious to know if he was there.
Her head fixed over her shoulder,
He was gone.
Two lovers walk away,
Both wanting to turn back,
Neither able to respond,
Neither knowing of each others eyes. |
