Estranged Lovers and Portraits, by Unintended
|
My idle mind refusing
To abolish reminders of you
Takes me to a place
Of pretty portraits and insanity
A new interest and I meet
With an incessant introduction
To the world of artistic brilliance
That you occasionally thrive in
As I gaze at calm wheat fields
And haunting crows of death
I ponder the quirky contribution
You would have graciously shared
Discussions that won't manifest
Knowledge exchanges turned selfish
Apart, we grow in sole capacity
Oblivious to new common ground
Typical and foolish
I summon infant dreams of you
Visits abroad for Van Gogh's escapism
Another romantic medium unshared |
