War and Peace, by lance
|
I've felt the path so many have taken
some don't make it home become unforsaken
lives unseen ever again so many times i've
lost a good friend
i won't tetter or let my steps fall i'm
one of the few who gave it my all
under a flag a banner of peace this
thing called war refuses to cease
the bombs i hear now they draw ever so near
my bullets are lined in a row of death don't
ask my number i will not confess
on the day i come marching home i do so
with pride but i do so alone
so many lives have i seen fallen this
thing called war came calling no
longer will i fight for you now
i must make it home...this much i vow. |
