Those Eyes, by Your Everlasting
|
Those eyes bearing deep into me
seeing all that you want to see.
I try to hide but you're too beautiful
that you have me staying, fearful.
Trying to run but only get slow motion
then you come and its all emotion.
Don't look, I tell myself, but you turn my chin,
how can I resist, your touch like velvet.
Your fingers warm against my skin.
Your not the same, I bet.
You look the same, love me the same,
but you're not and will never be the same.
I look at you and I melt right into your game.
I look at you and I see your shame...
could you really love me more
than the ocean on the sandy shore?
Could you love me more than her...
am I better than that perfection?
I'm not better than her,
but I will always be your perfection.
I see it when I look in those eyes.
