Love post bloom, by Fezick
|
Where once was love now lives disdain
passions love dance rent in twain
a drive to hate and hurt and maim
now fills the void of loves domain
An empty squall now fills my mind
where poets words no more I find
love lost has left no soul to fend
the throes of woe that will not mend
A dark and soulless form I see
from down dark halls pursuing me
my mind my loins my heart all be
fraught with thoughts of lifeless glee
Now take to mind no words of doom
for words alone may fill this room
life a treasure too great to broom
as chaffe and tumbleweed sans bloom
I, the man that once thought love
a gift transferred from he'en 'bove
my heart 'n soul love's trampled glove
too numb to feel, too cold to love
My story to you now be told
may life itself now please unfold
the path be chosen 'fore I'm old
and lies of love and life are told

Excellent poem - I enjoyed the content. Good to read a real poem and not some tripping tosh. Keep up the good work. |
