Collide, by Life Has Meaning
|
Falling into the inescapable shadows of yesterday,
Will I ever find my redemption?
Falling into the blinding light of broken tomorrows,
Why am I waiting for someone to step in?
No one can save me from the path—lonely and deceiving
That I have chosen to take.
I wonder, in the end, if these opposing forces
Will ever allow me the decision I need to make.
As I face so many decisions and things hold me back
I’m begging that someone will intercede.
I’m crying inside because of my fear,
But I know that no one can help me.
This is my decision,
Though so many tie my feet to the ground.
When I make it,
None of them will even be around.
Dark opposing the light,
As yesterdays pull me from tomorrows.
It is a violent struggle,
And nobody even knows.
As the past collides with the future
I am stuck where I am.
As I debate the answers,
The hourglass ticks on with the sand.
It is so impossible,
And yet I am the only one who can decide.
The question lies within the tears,
As my present collides.
