the tears seem oh, so genuine
the smile, believable too
the words a little corny
but I exspect that much from you
 
I almost feel somthing happning
beneth the rubble in my heart
past all the shattered pieces
perhaps... a salvageable part?

this will take some time
a challange to trully know
if what you say is authentic
and if love has room to grow

giving up is easy
its trying that's so hard
your willingness has inspired me
but I'm keeping up my gard

proceed with caution, we shall
no promices this time around
and see what can become of us
as we build from the ground

love has many stories
many tall, and many true
