Who We Really Are, by BeautyWrappedInFire
|
A single light on,
To bright en the night.
Other than I,
There is no sign of life.
I'm reminicing on us,
Our relationship as a whole.
I thought you had stole.
The confrontation was dormant
Until the day i needed help.
I could have asked for you,
But instead, i kept to myself.
I finally reached out,
Asked for your number one day.
I found that insomniac
Was someone I wanted to stay.
You cut the crap,
Told me what I didn't want to hear.
And I never guessed
That'd be something I'd treasure this year.
There was a period of time,
When we pretended to be
Who we thought the other person
Wanted us to be.
But a new year brought out
Who we really are.
Ever since then,
I'd say we've come pretty far.
The first time you actually
Said hello to me,
I walked down to my class and all of my friends asked
Why I was glowing.
While wearing his sweatshirT
Around those halls,
That didn't seem to stop our seemingly
Never ending talks.
Eventually we decided
To give it a rest.
We wanted each other,
There was no contest.
So I ended up doing
What I had to do.
I broke that boys heart,
All for you.
Seeing you make your way to my locker,
My friends all stared.
But we walked away smiling
Because neither of us cared.
A night at the beach
Was my favorite day
Of our entire relationship I'd say.
Surrounded by friend,
Our first dance.
We both went out on a limb,
Took a chance. |
