Grace, by PenToPaper
|
The inspiration was there;
The pain, the misery, the hate.
But one day it vanished,
And in came fate.
We ran through the woods,
And weren't scared to let go.
We clutched each other through the ran,
Because soon the sun would glow.
A year passed,
And then two.
It was time to say bye,
And time for something new.
I spent years alone,
Self harm, cigarettes, and regrets.
I swore it was all over,
But I learned they were just tests.
The pain in my heart,
Was masked by Your grace.
You picked me up,
And took me to this place.
Now my heart sings one name;
Hosanna, Jesus, Father.
You are forever faithful,
And I am your faithful daughter.
