Wondering

By Jessie27James

I wondered the streets all my days doing as I pleased Stabbed, shot at or beaten Nothing bothered me Times healed a wound and have distanced me from my yesterdays But now I wake to a mocking hour that haunts my every single day Behind four walls I found my world that I didn’t think exists Then behind these same walls it was ripped away Whether I was bad or good The tease is like a virgins game If not now but then when I just hope these walls don’t collapse And keep what I need deep within King of the mountain, I know I’ll be forever even more As long as I can keep this gem with me B/c it’s all I’ve been looking for I’d shoot it up Burn it into my skin, cold and dead But it doesn’t matter b/c its mine until the very end
