Portrait Of Suzanne Valadon, by Albert Ahearn
|
To think of the many days you
Posed for this: still as a statue
While my quivering hand-movements
Worked the strokes for improvements.
Did I better your perfection?
Hardly, perhaps some reflection
Of light coalesced with tinged hues
Of pink, yellow and subtle blues
Might accentuate your beauty
To a tolerable degree
Hmm! seems to work; now the contrast:
Black or green applied first or last?
My instinct says stick with the plan…
Done! You may relax now, Suzanne.
