Exhausting, by Markuz
|
It's exhausting;
listening to your voice.
I'm drowning in your words.
Close your mouth and shut my eyes;
Take me away from all your lies.
What I've come to learn
I already knew;
I didn't care; it wasn't important;
I recieved nothing from you.
It's exhausting;
thinking about you.
Digging deep into those places
where I never meant to be;
Now I see...
It was you and not me.
It's exhausting;
how much I complain.
It's all about you;
If you only knew
what I felt...
not the hurt,
or the fear,
or the tears,
But the love...
...No, not love...
...the like,
the idea of you.
It's exhausting
how you make me feel...
about you and me both.
About smiling when I know you're near
and turning when our eyes meet.
I need only thoughts of you
to know what this is.
It is everything and nothing.
and I hold it all dear,
but I fear these words
are all I will know
of how I feel about you.
But I think,
and I breathe,
and I see,
and I feel...
It's exhausting.
