life, by eleanor maslen

He is dead.
'What is life? a heart beat? no, a heart beat is merely a
way to keep the host alive, a house for the conscious. A
vessel in which the mind lives. This body is not alive it is
our mind that lives, and so the things in which form from
the mind give us eternal life. Everyone wants to live
forever, but they are looking in the wrong place. They
believe keeping the body young will achieve this. No, What
we leave behind keeps us young forever. Our stories, our
memories. They never die. just the vessel. Our minds live on
in what we create with them' |
