The Forest, by Mahmud Vellani
|
A forest bloomed
Beneath bark and wood
At the bank of the brook
Once I stood
In streams of shadow
And sunlight's glow
Over vine and leaf
A vivid flower show
Earth's cape of love
So sure and pure
An irresistible lure
In search of lore
This life I explore
Travelled far I have
For answers to must have's
Before tomb and grave
To fulfill this Mans' crave
A forest bloomed
Beneath bark and wood
I once stood
