Daisies

By Don't build lies on ice cubes.

Sit awhile in the garden And thread your daisy chain In creating your own beauty Cause the fragile flower pain Pick it apart with questions And the answer might be true The floor is lined in petals Just to find out if they loved you A wind picks up the fragments And throws them in the air A spiral of velveted turmoil And all you can do is stare The chain you made is breaking As the flower withers away Its beauty is not forever You can not force for it to stay Theres fewer daisies in the garden Increasing pieces within your hand The crushing flowers anguish You will never understand You created something beautiful And you destroyed it all the same And although it wouldn't last forever It can never be the same.
