Precious Is Time

Being to busy is no excuse! Moments in time pass us by only once! Once gone, gone forever. Cheerish what we can when we can! Thinking outside the box What most people don’t do Thinking of all the little things As time allows us to pass through Ninety percent of the time We are too busy to see Things that often happen To a loved one, you or me I am now 40 And I seem to have a view Of life at a stand point Where there is no skew I get so angry When people want me to change I feel they should just love me Now is that so strange? I have a way of seeing Little things in a different light Things that most people Just do not have in sight Life is too short Eighty or ninety years as a high After this short period it is time for us to die Then there is eternity Time that goes on and on As eighty or ninety years to eternity Is a pebble in the pond Think of the times we are called to see something our child has done but because we were busy we miss the moment of fun We need to take the time Especially when a child calls your name To see what they want And make them feel no shame You should not hurt their little heart, mind, and soul Because you were to busy And had to meet your goal Time is so precious I see this so well And by writing this poem I surely do tell Once I give my child Time he needs from me I do things I find important, you see I have a life I have grown to love I have a wife and children A precious gift from God above I don’t want to change Because someone wants me to I want to live And do the things I want to do I see eternity as a circle With life as a dot in the middle It is a view like this That makes me look at things so little So when my child or wife calls I most generally go to see What that moment has In store for me Time is very precious Moments are always passing us by Stop what your doing When you hear your name or your child cry Copyright © waynster ...
