Just when you feel empty, take a look around. Just the little things in life can inspire you.
I would like to write something
That will make the comments soar
Really like to write a piece
Nobody could ignore
I walked into the bedroom
Where my son lay asleep
He looked so peaceful
A memory to surely keep
Suddenly he awoke
With daddy by his side
His face had a smile
And his eyes opened wide
He reached his hand out
As he stared into my eyes
He softly touched my cheek
Reaching from the bed where he lies
No words were spoken
All actions were enough for me
To sit by my sons side
And see how happy he can be
It is moments like this
That inspires me to write
Because my son wakes up happy
From going to bed without any fright
I know this world is not peaceful
But my son has not a clue
He has a long road ahead of him
Because he is only two
Thank you for reading my poem
That was inspired by my son
I hope you all enjoy it
As writing it was so much fun
