Nobody's Listening, by Elizabeth
|
I’M LOCKED UP TIGHT HELPLESS WITH NOWHERE TO GO
WITH NOBODY TO LOVE
MY MIND AND SPIRIT IS IN THIS FAR OFF PLACE
AND SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN MY BODY LIES
HELPLESS
HOW COME NOBODY’S PAYING ANY ATTENTION
TO ME
I’M IN THIS BOX ALL CLOSED IN NO WAY TO GET
OUT
I’M SCREAMING AND PUNCHING MY WAY OUT
BUT STILL
NOBODY’S LISTENING
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION I KNOW I NEED HELP
BUT I DON’T NEED TO BE STUCK IN THIS BOX
FOREVER
AS I SIT HERE IN THIS BOX STARTING TO WONDER
I FEEL A DRIFT LIKE SOMEBODY IS WITH ME
LISTENING TO EVERY WORD I SAY
AS I LOOK UP I SEE GOD LISTENING TO ME
AND THAT’S HOW I KNOW SOMEBODY’S ALWAYS
LISTENING TO ME ? ? ?

Oh my gosh!! This was so great! I totally didn't expect it!! I luv it! I can completely relate! I know it's hard sometimes when you feel like you're alone, but yet there's a little voice in your ear telling you no! They're there... this is great! |
