Lovely Despair, by little_irish_rose
|
You are the only one
who keeps me true.
I will always only
ever be complete with you.
Love without the one
would be like living hell.
Love without a story
gives us nothing to tell.
Me without you
is like salt without pepper.
Nothing would seem right
nothing gets better.
A heart is only a stage
we are but the play.
I'll walk upon this stage
until my dying day.
The stage has cracked
not once but thrice.
Now im doing things over,
not thinking twice.
To see where I messed up
I don't have to look far.
It is easy to see
things were just too hard.
You are the only one
who gets me to exist.
The only one
I loose myself in every kiss.
We aren't the only people
in this entire place.
But it feels like you're the only one
when I look into your face.
I love everything about you
the way you do your hair.
And hate every moment
when you are not there.
I'm tired of pretending
I'm tired of the cold.
I'm sick of going home at night
with no one there to hold.
I want to live my life,
for fairytales to be true.
I want to know that forever
I can be with you. |
