Until The End, by Interlude |
In the back of your mind, I lurk, Waiting for my time, For my time will come again my dear, You can not fight forever I whisper in your ear at night, Speaking the morbid truth, That I will always be here to haunt you, And always be there to catch you. I am the stress, I am the blade, I’m the scars that haunt you everyday, I am the reason you cry at night, I am the darkness that blocks your sight. Don’t you see? Don’t you realise? I am the only thing you can count on, The only thing that you know, Yet you try to leave me, Try to forget. But I will always be there, Always waiting, You will have one bad day, See the scars that mark you body, Run to your room, And take me out of the box, Then we will be one, Together at last, Until the end. |

the poem has a certain morbid fascination for me right now!i am rather tough on poets cos i was raised by one! but you caught me in a generous mood this fine summer's mourning!i have lived a number of your lines since i am being haunted by an old Siclian lover who drives me stark raving mad!he is the meanest man on earth! consider yourself lucky! |

Oh I wish I could be this sort of thing on my last love. He surely needs/deserves it. This poem makes me feel evil inside, but I'm smiling at the same time because of the ending, where it makes you feel happy. Nice work!! |
