It's Just Another Day

I wake up in an empty room, no sound, no movement at all It's just another day I go to town, people are hurrying all around litter is on the floor It's just another day People are getting on my back at work, Kids driving mothers mad It's just another day Cars and motorbikes sweep down the road furiously pomping horns and driving fast It's just another day I come home to find that more people have died from starvation in Africa and a young girl has been raped It's just another day A child across the road is being beaten up by his stepdad and runs out, frightened and all alone It's just another day Poitics are on tele again, promising an end to all this cruelty and wickedness, It's just another day My ex phones me up yet again, telling me he's sorry and i hear the same lies all over again It's just another day I go to bed and the neigbours are high on drugs and alcohol and making noise It's just another day I go to sleep eventually I wake up in an empty room, no sound, no movement at all It's just another day Copyright Rebecca Waring

It's not exactly "my living place" it's a view on how the world is
