Missing you

You left before I could tell you all the things I wanted to say So many things that were left unsaid, unresolved feelings I think about what I’d say to you if you were here today How you are the reason that I want to change things. You were always there for me no matter what I did wrong I always looked up to you and admired you so much You were always the steady one and were always strong All the people whose lives you seemed to touch. I’m finally making something of my life and you’re not here You are the reason I want to be a better person than I have been You gave me guidance and no matter what you were always there You picked me up with your words always full of wisdom. If I never showed you enough how much you meant to me I’m sorry but you are the person that I long to be like in life You not only brought me into this world but showed me how to be You are always here in my heart and will be for the rest of my life.
