The sky was shattering
You could see the cracks
Forming sharp organic shapes
In the sky
But you could not pick them out
Before they were swallowed
By its miniscule shards
Which, soaring earthbound,
Rested
On plants and faces,
Houses and buildings
Content amongst madness
As if simple dew
Upon morning grass
And the sky was shattering.
A cry rent the air
A grumbling of war
A howl of the clouds
As if in pain
Seeking compensation
The trees shook
They have nothing to give
And they were swallowed
By a vengeful gust
But nothing was changed
And the shards beat down hard
In a tantrum, and pain
Was naught but about
And the sky was shattering
