My Place, by wishing_on_stars
|
Strangeness overcomes my being
Smiling, is my outer shell
Inside, is my unheard screaming
Listening while you calmly yell
Why can't you accept my choice?
I, too, have a voice
Does my life mean nothing to myself?
I mustn't stay chained to this shelf
Breakaway, it's what I must do
I have to go quickly now
I will not again follow you
You don't understand, but not how?
This path, my destiny, my right
Tis what I must do to fuel my light
Of which I shine to show my face
Letting all know, I've found my place
