Here On Earth

We are not here to buckle under, saying yes when every single fiber in our being/body is saying no; we are not here on this earth to cower & bend & give up on our dreams so someone else can feel more comfortable fulfilling theirs; we are not here on this earth to allow anyone to trample on our souls; we are not here on this earth to be rewritten by folks who know nothing about us, we are not here on this earth to suffer bullies; we are not here on this earth to live out our days regretting - rewinding - over things that were never meant to be; we are not here on this earth to consistently doubt our very own lives, our very own sensibility, our very own hearts; we are not here on this earth to blindly extend every bit of ourselves to folks who don't give a flying fuck about us; we are not here on this earth to hand over our emotional baggage to humans who know nothing about ironing out life's kinks; we are not here on this earth to experience the ugly horrific torment of abuse as if it were a mandatory, necessary life lesson; we are not here on this earth to be violated, grabbed, beaten, misplaced, mistreated, overlooked, undervalued, unwanted, returned; we are not here to take crumbs. We are here to make noise; serious fucking noise; loud earth shattering noise; to use our voices - our lives - to prove what we're made of, to show what we're made of - to make this world better, kinder, safer, more humane; we are here to create beauty, massive amounts of wild messy unconfined uncontrollable beauty; to create music & art, to write stories & shoot movies and make a spectacular glorious ruckus that change lives, transforms lives, lifts lives, challenges lives, honors lives, inspires lives, encourages lives, holds lives, coddles lives, comfort lives; we are here on this earth to demonstrate repeatedly the irrefutable power of love, the boundless joy of generosity of spirit, and the truth - the absolute truth - of kindness. We are not here to disappear, fade, become invisible.We are here to be fucking huge."
