You have always been there,
when I needed you most.
When I needed someone to care,
you were always my shoulder to lean on.
Now we live far away,
even though the distance
doesn't change a thing.
There is never a day
that I don't miss you
and wish I were there
instead of where I am.
I wish things were back to the way they were,
when time didn't matter,
when we didn't have a care in the world.
That year we spent,
was so short,
the days came and they went.
I miss those days,
the days with my best friend.
I miss our old ways,
I hate how it came to an end.
I just want you to know
that I'm thinking of you,
and I never want to grow apart.
I love you,
you will always be in my heart.
