Little Star, by Amethyst_Star
|
I watched the sky late at night
Star light, star bright, the first star I've seen tonight
I wish, I wish I might, the wish, the wish tonight
From the blink of an eye it had suddenly gone
Oh, little star why would you run?
Why would you hide little star?
I cannot go up there 'cause it's far
You've hidden behind those dark ugly clouds
Maybe because our atmosphere is loud?
Why don't you show yourself?
To us, to oneself
Why did you put yourselves so far away?
Don't you want to play?
Little star, your world is different from mine
You look like your all in an assorted line
I live in a world full of misery, of unhappiness, of
turmoil, of pain
For you and I cannot gain
While you live in space, space, space, space.
What is space? Is that a kind of place?
You are very brilliant— oh so brilliant— but you hide
when people look at you
You look like a bright honey dew
I wish I could reach you, little star
But you are too far
And forever you'll be.
