Echoes in the Abyss ©

“No complaints, overwhelmed by blessings”
Living with stress and depression,
A weight that bends my weary frown,
In shadows deep where thoughts sail slow,
Whispers of doubt wear a velvet gown.
The world, a bustling stage of light,
While I, a phantom, drift from sight.
In silence wrapped, I tread this maze,
A labyrinth of hollow days,
With echoes of laughter from far away,
Distant joys now seem to fray.
Each sigh a testament of a heart,
That yearns for solace yet drifts apart.
The sun may rise with golden thread,
Yet in my chest, a deeper dread,
Each beam that shines, a mockery bold,
As dreams turn stale and hopes grow cold.
For in the crowd, I walk alone,
Just a fragment of flesh and bone.
The days stretch long, an endless night,
The clock ticks down, no end in sight,
With burdens heavy, steeped in gray,
In restless hours, I fade away.
But deep within, a flicker glows,
A fragile flame that softly shows.
The whispers of healing softly call,
To break the silence, to stand tall,
In the tapestry woven with threads of pain,
A dance of shadows, a chance to gain.
For every storm must find its rest,
And in the heart, hope's gentle quest.
So, I will rise, though weary still,
To face the dawn, to test my will,
For loneliness may weave its thread,
Yet I will claim the life I led.
In echoes deep, I find my song,
A tale of sorrow, yet still so strong.
