                “No complaints, overpowered by
blessings”
The Saunter
A casual stroll around the city at night,
With shadows draped like whispers on the street,
My weary heart, a compass lost in flight,
Resists the pull of slumber’s soft retreat.
The moon, a lantern, casts its silver glow,
On cobblestones where dreams and memories blend;
Each step I take unveils a tale to show,
Yet sleep eludes, a lover’s fervent end.
It’s a foreboding atmosphere that reigns,
As echoes of the past resound in light,
While foreign scents and sounds ignite my veins,
Awakening a yearning, wild and bright.
In this nocturnal dance, my spirit flies,
A restless heart beneath the endless skies.
