A Storm Is A-Brewin, by Lunaria

Storm Is A-Brewin
The warning siren rang in my ear
So loud it was impossible not to hear
Turned on the TV and much to my surprise
There it was right before my eyes
Said, "There's a storm a-brewin
And it's headin your way"
Now I began a-stewin
The trees began to sway
I watched them do their hula dance
It was so beautiful I went into a trance
They swayed to the music of the wind
On the trees my eyes were pinned
Then I came to with a loud clap of thunder
I found the couch and dove right under
Now I am not really a scary cat
I just don't like storms to be where I'm at
It raged all night
There was no light
Except bolts of lightning now and then
And rolling thunder again and again
When morning came the wind still blew
But at least the skies were blue
This storm gave me quite a fright
Hope it doesn't happen again tonight.
