Going, by Lunaria
|
Going
Shall I try once more to say goodbye?
Or shall I simply slip away
You seem not to understand, though I try
That I really will be gone one day
You think I am sad and so forlorn
And I am just wanting attention
But I am blowing loud my horn
That I am leaving, did I mention?
I should have guessed you wouldn't know
What I am trying to say
That I really have to go
And will be gone someday
Do you really even care if I go or stay
You really havn't a clue
What's going on today
Or what is false and what is true
So I leave you in your own world
It really doesn't matter
With a smile on my face and my hair all curled
I leave amidst all the clatter
You don't even know that I am gone
And I'm glad it happened this way
You're still asleep at the breaking dawn
I bless you and have a good day.

This one I was trying to say goodbye, but they wouldn't hear me. |
