Your Day

On a warm summer eve you came into my space
A beauty indeed, full of grace
Eyes that change from blue to green
A trace of hazel can also be seen

Hair so golden now turned to brunette
The last of the children I beget
I remember your years from one to eighteen
For sure you have my beauty gene

Now you are grown
And off on your own
In a state out west
Who has Minnesota's best

I wish birthday greetings to thee
On the day of your birth June number three
So have a good one. I know that you will
Here's me standing on top of a hill

Singing......
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
I know how old you are
You are thirty-two.
