Last Love, by Lunaria

Last Love
The last love that I have had
Would make any woman glad
He's tall and lean with hazel eyes
Always gentle, helpful and wise
Other loves were not for me
At the time I couldn't see
How they really were inside
Staying with them I would have died
So I took off on my own
Yes the coop I have flown
And settled down in a small town
I made myself known around
Mingled with a friendly crowd
That were humble were not loud
He walked in through my door
Has been here forevermore
Made himself right at home
Brought his tooth brush and comb
We are cozy as can be
That's my story now you see.
