Last Days The sky was overcast A strange smell clung in the air Far off a large blast Could be heard everywhere I looked for the sunrise To brighten this dreary morn Couldn't believe my eyes Sun looked so forlorn First it rose in the west Was dark as dark could be Yes it happened, to this I attest To this I do decree Stars were hanging low Not where they should be Moon had a reddish glow Gloom as far as the eye could see Nation fighting nation Volcanoes, earthquakes, floods Earth's shaking her very foundation This seems to be it buds It's time for people to leave the earth So she can begin to heal In her last stages of birth Like a drunken woman she'll reel The ships are waiting above To evacuate one and all They're beaming down their love Hasten to their call There'll be a new earth She'll have a new name There'll be joy and mirth All wild animals will be tame A place where we can rest No war, no strife, no ills no hate We are surely blessed This will be our estate Hasten now to the ship's beam You'll be taken up in space It will feel like you're in a dream Going to your own special place Farewell people, be brave You'll be making history The new home will be what you crave It will be no mystery.
