It Looks Like Christmas, by Lunaria
|
It Looks Like Christmas
Snow falls softly on all below
Covering rooftops and evergreen
From each window there's a glow
Reminding me of a Christmas scene
Smoke from the chimney rising high
Windows frosted with ice
Sure looks like Christmas, I cannot deny
And icicles fall once or twice
Lights on the houses and even the trees
Blinking all through the night
Around the nativity animals on their knees
Bowing to the child of light
Suddenly all is still. Even the wind doesn't blow
Off in the distance bells so softly ring
At that moment I know
We are welcoming the real new born king.
