Sheba
The night before All Hallows' Eve
My darling Sheba asked to leave
By being mean to her kitty friend
Till I was at my wits end

She couldn't tell me in human word
For kitty meows were all I heard
I wasn't adept at telepathy
The way cats talk you see

She tried to tell me she was sick
But it wasn't an easy trick
To make me understand
Her illness was by own hand

Each year I took her to the vet
For her kitty shots to get
They were the cause of her demise
Cause I listen to medical lies

Into the carrier Sheba went
And to the vet she was sent
To make her sleep and not awake
This was done for Sheba's sake

The shots had caused a lump
At the shot site there was a bump
Sheba left me at age seven
And flew away to kitty heaven.

The Pain was great. I went in shock
Staring into space I would rock
She stayed with me, a short sojourn
In her beautiful spirit form

In my dreams she spoke with me
In order to make me see
All was as was suppose to be
From her body she had to be free

One more dream and I was told
As a mistress I was pure gold
And that she was now going home
And from there she would never roam

So my friends be warned
Read articles and be informed
Shots can kill your dog and cat pals
Seek alternative for what ails.
