Sleep
Darkness has covered the land
Like a fuzzy, warm cover
The darkness will now demand
Sleep. In our dreams we may discover

Other lives we live unknown by day
Lives of renown or lives of folly
We may be straight, we may be gay
Maybe we're king or jester by golly

We could live in a land made of sand
Then again we could live under the sea
We could even a great army command
Or we could embody a whale or a flea

Lives we could have endless in number
But conscious of the one in the day
Finding other lives in our slumber
To me is a parallel life bouquet

A bouquet of lives tied with a ribbon
What a wondrous image to ponder
Having names like Sampson or even Fitzgibbon
Makes the mind endlessly wander

This is why sleep is important , you see
In sleep there is much to discover
We can fly high in the sky or under the sea
When we're under the dark night cover.
