We Used To, by Danielle Lewis

To Sarah and Wally:
We used to dance across the sea, together our smiles could
fill the ocean,
we used to laugh and play with the innocence of an angel's
love,
we used to count the stars in the night sky, together we'd
dream we could fly.
We used to gaze into the sky and capture all the clouds,
we'd keep them in a box to let the sun shine down.
We used to swing from the willow tree, standing high above
the creek, and leap from its close safety to water beneath
our feet.
We used to skip in our flower filled fields, our heads held
high towards the sky,
We used to love each other dearly, still we love from this
day on, in our castle in the sky, we live and love on and
on....

This makes me think of a Norman Rockwell illustration, the little girl and boy laughing and playing. It's very cute! |
