See, by Danielle Lewis

You think you see who I really am,
Just another hopeless teen drug abuser,
but you can't see past your own regrets,
they feed on your soul, till' there's nothing left.
How can you blame me for this?
A subtle sign that you had missed.
Drug abuser? That's all you can see?
Just because I'm different? It's cuz you won't see.
Why won't you see what's inside of me?
I pour my truths out but you don't care.
You refuse to see past their careless lies.
For that is why I still despise.
Get back on track, you mindless fool,
you think you're so hot, you think you're so cool,
But look inside of me,
you'll see the beautiful dreamer inside of me,
My words ARE different and maybe strange,
but these are my expressions of my own pain,
These pains may come from others' pleas,
but still my own,
you will soon see.
