Words
Dawn Is approaching, The night is far spent
In this piece I am writing I haven't made a dent
The lines will not come, they refuse to rhyme
My brain is tired , having a hard time
Sitting here just before dawn
Body wants to sleep, mouth forms a yawn
Eyes are just two little slits
Brain says, lets call it quits
Finally out of the air comes a word
One that I have never heard
How am I suppose to use this?
I think, oh brain, I heard amiss
Softly, softly I hear my bed calling
In slumber mode I am falling
I'll try again on the morrow
Words from the future will I borrow
Strange words you have never heard
Words that may sound absurd
But at least a poem I will make
On the morrow , now I cannot stay awake.
