The Man

The Man His robe was long and flowing White like new fallen snow His eyes had a certain knowing About him a golden glow His skin was brown and weather beat Hair was long and brown He wore sandals on his feet As he walked from town to town When he spoke people listened And circled him all around You would have seen tears that glistened And then fall upon the ground They wrote a book about him That many people read Even when their eyes grow dim It has just what they need He left Earth so long ago Went up in a cloudy birth I want everyone to know He will not come back to earth There's a new planet birthing now Out of old Earth's body shell He has given his solemn vow......... Oh, there's so much more to tell But all that will have to wait It's a mystery for certain Now it is very late For it's Earths final curtain You'll see this man once more On the planet that's born anew There will be an open door And some will go through, but few There are twelve doors out of earth Everyone will choose just one Because there will be much dearth And no life upon the Earth, cleansing can be done Earth will lay fallow long 'Til she is all healed We will be singing our song So Terra will be revealed Terra is Earth's new name When she is born anew She will never be the same And I'll live on her. Will you? If you choose my door You will see the man 'tis true Of doors there are eleven more Choose the one that's right for you In the future very soon The doors will be revealed So listen and be in attune And all will be unsealed.
