Can't Find Peace, by Cutie In A Death Cab
|
Dull safety pins and sticky shot glasses,
you're passed out on the couch.
Another hard day, was it?
So you grasp the night,
embrace the moon,
and hope that you'll feel better soon.
Don't you know,
you can't find peace this way.
You can't find peace in a dark-lit day.
Don't pull the shades down.
Don't turn the light.
Don't find the black and replace the white.
Your soul's as empty as the cup
that rests in your relaxed hand.
You drop it on the floor, as your eye lids are sprinkled
with sand.
Don't you know,
it'll be different someday.
You can't find peace the way you tried today. |
