THE CRYSTAL CHILD, by Melissa Slates
|
FROZEN SOLID IN THIS TEENAGE DEPRESSION.
CHOCKED FOR AGES IN THIS AIRLESS OPRESSION.
CONFINED WITHIN A REFRIGERATED SOCIETY.
TRAPPED WITHIN A SOCIAL HYARCHARY.
OBSERVING ALL YOUR VELVET VIOLENCE.
TEMPTED BY YOUR SACRED SILENCE.
LEFT OVER MORALS TUCKED IN OUR BEDS.
BITTER SWEET THOUGHTS DANCE THROUGH OUR HEADS.
CHAOTIC CHILDREN SICKINING, DEEPINING.
CRYING MOTHERS SIGHING, WEAPING.
SOULS ARE REAPING, SICKNESS SEAPING.
IN ALL OF THIS YOU CENSOR PAIN.
IN DOING SO WHAT HAVE YOU TO GAIN?
