Die In Fear, by Lora
|
It don’t take much if you really wanna try
Have you ever seen another die
Can you see their pain and not turn away
Screaming they want to live another day
As the tears pour from the bloody face
As their heart slows yours begins to race
Don’t bother if it just too much
Watching life fall from a tight clutch
For every bruise made by those who lied
Can be seen as the case is tried
Why forbid what people bring on themselves
And keep the cure on the highest of shelves
Have you known someone take their life
Calling out to end all the strife
I saw him scream as the knife seared through
Such a sickening thing to have to do
Clawing the skin from the eyes to the mouth
Making blood mix with tears to travel south
Cry if you can but more do choke
Words can be found hard to invoke
If you can make sense of what I saw
You will know how the time comes for more
For every bruise made by those who lied
Can be seen as the case is tried
Why forbid what people bring on themselves
And keep the cure on the highest of shelves
Have you known someone take their life
Calling out to end all the strife
Do people realise they should hold onto their life
As many slice it away with the poisoned knife
Why as they lay there on the black bed
Do they scream they would have done this instead
But now they can see that no one cares
You’ll all be gone soon unawares
Waste the last breath by screaming
Like they think life can be redeeming
